My Favorite Hair Products
There is nothing quite like a good hair day, which for me doesn’t come that often. My hair is naturally curly (aka frizzy) so it takes a lot of work and time to get it just right. And let’s be honest, most of us do not have an extra hour in the morning to get the perfect looking do.
Product (and lots of it!) certainly helps the process even if you only have 5 minutes. Here are my favorites for a good hair day and a very BAD hair day.
If there is one thing I will not skimp on for my hair it's shampoo and conditioner. Hands down my favorite is by Biolage, I have been using it for as long as I can remember. The conditioner leaves my hair so soft. My second choice would have to be Pureology (Shampoo, Conditioner). It smells great and hydrates without weighing my hair down. Since I recently had a Keratin treatment I've been using this color care line so the treatment lasts longer.
If I have time and I'm going for a great hair day, I dry my hair with this T3 dryer, truly the BEST. It dries my hair quickly and it is so lightweight. It is an investment but completely worth it especially if you have curly or frizz prone hair. Now through Sunday you can save 20% with the code T3FFFALL17. Shop here to take advantage of the entire sale.
Next up is a flatiron to smooth out any frizz. I've been using the same flatiron for ages so I'm thinking of upgrading to this one.
To finish off I always use Morrocanoil to seal everything in, prevent breakage and tame frizz. Used sparingly this bottle would last a year.
So, there you have it. It takes a long ass time to have a good hair day in my house.
A bad hair day for me means my hair needs to be washed or I didn't have time to dry/flatiron when I last washed it. Dry shampoo and pony tail holders to the rescue! I have tried about a dozen dry shampoos in my day and this has become my new favorite. It doesn't leave any funny residue and it actually works while nourishing with hibiscus extract. Bonus: it has UV protection so your hair doesn't fry in the sun. This budget friendly option works really great as well. I switch between the two.
I've mentioned these hair ties before. They hold really well and do not damage your hair. If my hair is curly, up it goes in a bun with one of these suckers.
Since I only wash my hair every three to four days I often use my trusty Hot Tools iron on day three to get another day out of my blow-dry.
When all else fails, I put on a baseball cap.
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend! :)
