And I'm back! This summer has proven to be the most difficult time for blogging. Since we're vacationing on Lake Winnipesaukee this week, I plan to share some "lake style" later in the week. Today I'm rounding up some of my recent looks and sharing some styling tips.
This outfit was during my trip to Bermuda. The top worked perfectly for the island vibe and the scalloped shorts dressed it up for a dinner out. I love mixing patterns and this Clare Vivier clutch is heavy in the rotation. Sam Edelman heels finished the look. They are my go-to heel in the summer. The earrings I bought at a boutique in Nantucket.
This easy outfit was worn for running errands. Cut-off denim shorts are 90% of my summer wardrobe. I make them myself with old jeans (I am planning a DIY post to demonstrate how I do it). This top I picked up at Evereve (one of my favorite stores). It is a bit sheer but I love the look with a colorful barrette underneath. I finished the look with my favorite every day necklace and cute Sam Edelman slides.
I certainly do not own a sailboat and pose like this daily but when I was in Bermuda, that's exactly what I did while on a sailboat. This swimsuit rocks my world. It is so soft, the ruffles are the bomb and I was sold with the crisscross straps in the back. Any top or dress with crisscross straps in the back is an obsession of mine. I actually had my wedding dress reconfigured so it could have crossed straps.
Another gorgeous Anthro top paired with my white cutoffs and again, best clutch ever. This top is incredibly soft and I love the asymmetrical hemline. I love pairing silver jewelry with lilac. It keeps the outfit soft and flowy, just like the top.
