Loving Lately - Kids Edition

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend. It sure got chilly here in New England. I think it’s officially time to put away our summer attire. Today’s post is focused on things I’m “Loving Lately” for the kids. Hope you enjoy and find something new for your kiddos.

I’m not sure why I waited so long to buy personalized labels. I put these on folders, Tupperware, cups, backpacks, you name it.

I purchased them from this shop and the turnaround time was so quick and they came out great. We have been using ours since the beginning of school and they have yet to fade (shop claims they last 30-45 washes before fading). Couldn't recommend these more!

I bought the floral pattern for my daughter and the baseball scene for my son. I also added this notepad to my order…such a easy way to write a note to school.

With the winter coming I plan on ordering some additional name tags for the kids jackets, gloves, and hats. I love these simple tags you can sew on. Or if you enjoy the simplified and quick version, there are laundry safe stickers or iron on. Click each picture for links.

We have so many favorites books but these are always on heavy rotation.

My daughter’s number one favorite book is Sylvie. It’s an adorable story about a flamingo that decides to venture off from her family to try new “food”. Add a flamingo stuffed animal to make it a great gift (holidays are coming!).

The Darkest Dark is one of my personal favorites. It is a wonderful story about Space written by Astronaut Chris Hadfield, who, as a child was afraid of the dark. Such a great read for kids that love space or are afraid of the dark. Love it so much, highly recommend!!

I’m sure many of you have read this book but for those that haven’t, it is such a great book. Funny and relatable. There is also a sequel, found here which is really cute too.

Who doesn't love to play Rock, Paper, Scissors?! This book is a really fun story about the iconic way to settle a debate.

While we’re on the topic of books...I came across this book light which would be perfect for kids that enjoy reading before bed.

Does anyone else find plastic cups annoying? We have a whole drawer full and we use the same ones over and over. I’m about ready to crack and order these stainless steel cups with straws and covers. They are dishwasher safe and seem like they would really hold up (great reviews too!).

With the cooler weather making it’s way here, I recently bought this jacket for my daughter. She loves how warm and cozy it is.

I still need to get a warm jacket for my son and I’m loving this one from Patagonia.

My last “Loving Lately” item has to be Young Living essential oils. I was recently introduced to YL essential oils by a friend. I quickly become so in love with the benefits of using oils every day. From stress and sickness (think colds, cough, congestion) to sleep and muscle aches, there is an oil for just about everything. We use a diffuser day and night (I even bought an additional one for my son’s room for sleep). After one night of using it in his room, he said to me “Mom, you need to put that in my room every night”. I kid you not!

If you become a member of Young Living, I recommend starting with the premium starter kit which includes 11 essential oils (you will use them all for various benefits), a diffuser, samples and plenty of reading material. As a member, there are no monthly requirements, and you never have to sell a thing. Also, as a member, you will get a 24% discount on any additional oil purchases. If you’re interested, you can purchase here. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at katie@lifestylewithkatie.com.
